Benoit Beaujeon is a professional football player, playing as a goalkeeper.
Benoit is born in Angers, France. Like any other boy it was always benoit's dream to become a footballer. He started playing football at the age of 5. He played for several clubs in France as his parents were moving often for work. Along the years, he had trials with some professional clubs in France such as AS Monaco FC and SCO Angers. At the age of 15, he joined the academy of Le Mans Union Club 72 in a scholarship.
Aged just 18, Benoit decided to move to england to realize his dream of playing football in England. He had trials with some clubs in Skrill South Conference and Ryman League such as Tonbridge Angels, Horsham FC, Chipstead FC... however he had to start at a lower tier to showcase his abilities. So he played for AFC Uckfield and Hailsham Town FC in the Macron Southern Combination Premier League. His good performances earned him a trial with Galway United, in the First Division of Ireland. The following season he joined Crawley Down Gatwick in the Ryman League. In 2013/2014, Benoit played as a futsal player, playing his trade for FC Siauliai Futsal in the FA National Futsal League. Ben was elected man of the match for the 2 wins that secured the status of FC Siauliai Futsal in the FA National League for the following season.
After some unsuccessful trials with the Rochester Lancers and the Harrisburg Heat in the Major Arena Soccer League, Benoit took a break from football as we was not able to earn a professional contract. He started training again in 2017 with SK Svaty Jur in the 3.Liga in Slovakia. it has allowed him to get signed up by Western Condors in the NSW State League (a regional Australian semi-professional association football league comprising teams from New South Wales. the league sits at level 3 of the overall Australian league system).
During the 2018/2019 winter transfer window, Benoit got signed up by Union Innsbruck for the end of the season 2018/2019. Unfortunately he suffered from a knee injury that kept him away from competition. In April he was able to take part in his first game for Union Innsbruck and played 6 games in the Tiroler Liga before getting injured again. He was not able to come back for the end of the season and decided not to resign for Union Innsbruck.
After a few trials with some professional clubs in America and Romania during the following summer, Benoit was on the verge of signing a professionnal contract with Inainte Modelu in Liga 3 in Romania. However the deal fell through. towards the end of the 2019/2020 summer transfer window. Few weeks later, he finally signed for his next club : AS Central Sports. AS Central Sports is the club with the most championships in Tahiti. they also took part in the Oceania Champions League (aka O'League) the previous season, where they qualified for the quarter-finals.
After a spell of 3 months with AS Central Sports in the Ligue 1 - Vini, Benoit headed back to Europe with the aim to earn a professionnal club. On the 27th of February, he signed a professional contract with CSM Pascani. CSM Pascani is a professional club, playing in Liga 3 - Romania. The club won several titles in the league over the years. However, the team is now struggling to get results and Benoit has been recruited amongst 5 other players to help the team avoid relegation. he played his first game for his new club against SC Otelul Galati. Unfortunately, the season was cancelled due to the pandemic and therefore his contract was terminated. However, the game against SC Otelul Galati was enough to draw attention from CS Stiinta Miroslava, a team that got relegated from Liga 2 the previous season. He was offered a one year contract with them. the club was aiming to gain promotion to Liga 2. After signing his contract, he joined his new team mates for preseason but the first results from the medicals necessited to take further tests, which the club refused to do, therefore the deal got cancelled.
Benoit was not able to find a team for the first part of the season 2020/2021. He has been training back in France to stay in shape for whenever an opportunity would come up. In the meantime, he passed again all the physical exams with success and was declared fit to practise football again. In January, he was given an opportunity to train with Progresul Spartac 44' in Liga 3 but before he could do so, he received an offer from Inainte Modelu. Having been there less than 2 years ago, he decided to join the team during preseason. The club offered him a 1 year and half contract however he turned down the offer as he received a better proposition from CSM Pascani. He signed his new contract with Pascani on the last day of the transfer window. After a disappointing end to the season last year due to the pandemic, it was an opportunity for him to finish what he had started with CSM Pascani last season. Benoit took part in all games in the second part of the season, 8 games in the regular season, as well as 2 games in the playoffs to secure their spot in Liga 3. CSM Pascani won 7-1 on aggregate in the playoffs and therefore will play in Liga 3 again next season.
After securing their spot in Liga 3 for the 2021/2022, CSM Pascani wanted to extend the contract of Benoit for another year. However, due to financial issues during the summer, the club was not able to offer him a new contract anymore. Benoit was still able to find a new club just before the end of the summer transfer window, signing a professional contract until the 30.06.2022 with the club of CS Gilortul Targu Carbunesti. The club is currently playing in the Liga 3 - Serie 7. Last season, they finished 6th in the league, just 1 point short of the 3rd place. For this season, the club is hoping to finish in the first 4 places in order to play the playoffs.
On the 26th of September, he decided to resiliate his contract with CS Gilortul Targu Carbunesti as the club didn't really meet his expectations. That meant he was not able to play for any club before the winter transfer window opens. However, he was given an opportunity to trial for Dacia Unirea Braila, a team that was competing in Liga 2 in Romania. The club couldn't offer him a contract at the time, but they allowed him to train with them while he considered the next step of his career. As a footballer, his goal was always to test himself at the highest level possible, so to train in a professional environment on a daily basis with a team that plays second tier football in Europe meant a lot to him. After a few weeks at Dacia Unirea Braila, he had the opportunity to sign for Eding Sports in the MTN Elite One (first tier) in Cameroon. However he decided not to sign once there as he believed it was not the right environment for him. Therefore he signed for his former team, CSM Pascani until the end of the 2021/2022 season. Since then he turned down several offers from Bosnia, Romania, Finland, Portugal and Croatia as he is waiting for the right opportunity.
On the 22nd of march 2023, he joined the club of Green Island AFC in New Zealand. for one season. The club was competing in the New Zealand National League - Southern League.. He got to play 10 games in the league, registering 3 cleansheets. The club got knocked out on the penalty shootouts in the last 32 of the Chatham Cup (national cup).
Early 2024, Benoit joined the club of Tupapa Maraerenga as they were preparing for the OFC Qualifying Stage Qualifying Stage that took place place in Tonga from February 17th to 23rd. Tupapa Maraerenga is the most succesful club in the Cook Islands, having won the Tower Insurance Premiership 18 times and the Cook Islands Cup 10 times. Benoit took part in a friendly match against the U19 Cook Islands national team during the preparation in the Cook Islands and then played in all the games of the OFC Champions League Qualifying Stage. Tupapa Maraerenga registered 2 wins and 1 loss during the Qualyfing Stage and nfortunately that's was not enough as the club finished second in the table, just one point away from the qualifying spot.
