I have been interviewed by Sport.ro about my career and my search for a new football club in Romania !

He was close to Monaco, but he wants to play in the 3rd league in Romania! He is looking for his team on the net: "I'm trying to find a club, or someone who can help me find me something!"

Benoit Beaujeon is a 28 year old French goalkeeper who wants to impress in Romania! Benoit played in the English lower leagues, tested in Monaco and went through Austria, Australia, Lithuania or Tahiti. Arriving in Romania at the beginning of the year, he signed with CSM Pascani, the team from the 3rd League, where he caught only one match before the pandemic. The cancellation of the lower leagues turned his plans upside down. "I liked Romania and I would like to come back!", Is the message that Beaujeon sends on LinkedIn in the post announcing to those interested that he is ready for a new adventure.

Benoit Beaujeon was first tested in Romania in August 2019: "I really wanted to play in the 3rd League in Romania. An agent took me to the tests, but I did not sign any contract. Then, another agent -he said that I could go to Pascani, in March. I trained there for a few days and I received the contract. I started to play a match, with Otelul, then the championship was frozen due to the pandemic "

The Frenchman would have liked to continue in Moldova. In the summer, Miroslava, the team with promotion plans, called him to give evidence: "Miroslava was a club with different ambitions and I was seduced by the possibility of fighting to promote. There was a small problem at the medical tests though. The sports director told me that the club would not go further with the tests because it would mean paying money that  they were not willing to pay, the contract was canceled, I could not return to Pascani, they had found a replacement for me. I returned to France and did my tests, I'm fine. I couldn't find my team anymore, everyone had already made their plans in Romania. "
Asked what attracted him to Romania, Benoit Beaujeon says he was impressed by the way he was treated: "This doesn't happen anywhere! It's a great opportunity to play and showcase your abilities there! Agents, clubs, coaches watch the matches and so you can get to the top pretty quickly. I'd rather play in the 3rd League in Romania than go elsewhere. People are nice, they treat you well! "
The goalkeeper has been training alone since September. He is not working with his agent anymore and he tries to find a contract on his own. He says he doesn't play football for money and that only passion pushes him to move on: "To be honest, I want mind a low salary. I pay for my flights and everything else. I think my experience could help a lot of clubs in the 3rd league. I help and show that I deserve to be on the field! "
Before coming to Romania, Benoit Beaujeon went through Australia, Austria, the United States, England or Tahiti: "I arrived in Tahiti because a transfer to Inainte Modelu failed. I didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately, football was not that great but It was still a good experience, but I met some good players. Tahiti was at the Confederations Cup a few years ago, it was a great moment for the whole country. Apart from football, it was heaven! I was in several islands, in Bora Bora and others. "I did things that I only saw in movies. My team played in the Champions League in Oceania a few times, that attracted me, I wanted to go and play international competitions."
Benoit took his career into his own hands after the agents he spoke to did not convince him that they could really help him: "I want to know what is really going on. I am in contact with some agents, but I don't know if they're really trying to find me something or not! I'd like to talk to clubs, agents, someone who may have something for me! "
The most important moment in the Frenchman's career was the trial he held at AS Monaco. A short distance behind is the game with Otelul Galati, from spring.
"I was in rehearsals in Monaco, in Angers. It was a wonderful feeling, there are big clubs. To be a professional footballer has always been a dream for me, since I was 5 years old I dreamed of it. I played in the national futsal championship in England 5 years ago. There I played against teams that compete in the Champions League or in the European championships. It was great! And the match with Otelul was also great. They played with Manchester United , so the meeting with Otelul was important! I remembered the Champions League match played by United. I know that Otelul is now another team, but it was still something wow for me " , says Beaujeon with a wide smile on his face .

"I can play in the 3rd League in Romania, I think it would be a good reserve in the 2nd league as well. I could compete with another goalkeeper, to enter the Cup. If you put me to I choose a competition to play in, I would say it's the Champions League in Oceania, you get to fantastic places, it's a realistic goal, I have the level to play there, without discussion.I know that in Europe I could not play at this level, nor in America or Asia. But in Oceania it is possible. Maybe I will play there someday, but now I would like to return to Romania, it is a good platform for my career!
